A Taste of South Africa

Our Location
Inside Our Restaurant
Seafood Platter with our view

Perched above the sea in Cala Major, we've been sharing the rich flavours of South Africa with locals, tourists and yacht crew for over a decade. Come for the food, stay for the view, and the hospitality.

Dave and Estelle

A project like this is never the work of one or two people - it is always a team effort. We are incredibly fortunate to have chefs, Michał Smorawski and Patryk Trzciński, who have been with us for nearly a decade; a rare kind of continuity that has assisted in shaping everything we do here.

Over the years, we haven’t just worked side by side in the kitchen; we’ve travelled, cooked, and shared experiences, including time spent exploring South Africa from top to bottom. That time gave them a genuine, lived understanding of the country, its people, and its cuisine, which is reflected in every dish we serve today.

More than colleagues, they are part of the fabric of this restaurant, and we are deeply grateful for their commitment, consistency, and shared passion.

About Us

The Fusion of Tradition

For over a decade, we’ve proudly brought the spirit and flavour of South Africa to the island, creating a dining experience that feels both exciting and warmly familiar. Our menu celebrates the diversity of South African cuisine, from vibrant, plant-based dishes to bold, expertly prepared meats, all crafted with rich, abundant flavours that leave a lasting impression.

Now in our 11th season, we’re incredibly grateful to have been embraced by guests from around the world, reflected in over 1,200 reviews and consistent top rankings on TripAdvisor. At the heart of it all is our passion for genuine hospitality: welcoming every guest as if they were our own, and delivering food that’s generous, comforting, and full of character.

We look forward to hosting you.

Your Reviews

Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to receive consistent five-star reviews from our guests, with more than 1,100 shared since 2016.

We don’t take this lightly. To us, it reflects something deeper than ratings, a genuine love for what we do, a respect for every guest who walks through our doors, and the unique setting we’re lucky to call home.

It’s the small details, the warm welcomes, the honest food, and the moments shared around the table that matter most. We’re simply grateful that so many of you have taken the time to recognise that.
